Convert Your Vehicle To Hydrogen Fuel
The Earth is made up of 75% water and that you learned in your elementary days. With this fact, scientists conducted various studies to prove that water can be a source of fuel energy. Unfortunately, water alone can't be used to power a vehicle. What you need is a conversion tool and an HHO generator. Still, water is an integral part in hydrogen technology.
One of the greatest scientists who studied about the viability of water as source of alternative fuel is Nikola Tesla. Although he had made a lot of discoveries, all his studies were not revealed to the public. Most of Tesla's inventions were futuristic and ordinary individuals can't understand them.
Hydrogen technology is not new and it has been in existence for many years now. Recently, hydrogen powered cars are gaining much popularity. This knowledge brought tension in the market because gas-producing companies will be terribly affected if more hydrogen powered vehicles are manufactured.
On the other hand, the invention of hydrogen powered vehicles has brought much attention to the problems here on Earth like pollution and global warming.
At present, thousands of converted cars are now using water to fuel their vehicles. But of course, you need to convert first your car before you can make use of water to power your car. Will you believe that you can increase mileage from 75-100%? That sounds unbelievable, right? But the facts prove it; in fact, if you try to check online customer testimonials and product reviews, you will read positive testimonials about hydrogen fuel.
Perhaps you've also seen TV interviews about satisfied car owners who are already using hydrogen technology. If you're a car owner and your head hurts badly because of the expensive cost of gasoline, convert your car now. You don't have to take the car to a mechanic because you can either do the conversion on your own or purchase a ready-made HHO generator and conversion tool.
The latter is a bit expensive because it can cost about $800. But once the hydrogen fuel cell technology is installed in your car, you can enjoy many years of driving with reduced gasoline expenditures. Aside from saving massive money, your car will function at its best. It will make your car less noisy and the gears can be shifted smoothly. You will surely enjoy traveling without worries.
So, do you want to be a happy and contented driver too? Use hydrogen fuel, covert your vehicle now. This is a very important decision that you have to make. Anyway, if ever you're not satisfied with the performance of the hydrogen technology, you can readily remove it from your car. You can again use gasoline to power your vehicle.
Since a great percentage of car owners who converted to hydrogen fuel are happy, then maybe you might find it cost-effective as well. So far, this is the best alternative source of fuel energy for cars. Join the happy drivers, earn savings, and save the planet.

Five Tips for Getting Started With Kayaking
Five Tips for Getting Started With Kayaking
Author: Jay GaulardKayaking is a great sport that combines physical activity with the beauty and tranquility of nature. If you would like to get started with this sport, there are a few things you need to know. As with any form of outdoor recreation, learning the basics before you begin will make your kayaking adventure much more enjoyable.
Tip 1 - Choose the Right Kayak
Choosing the right kayak is the first step on your adventure. There are many different types out there. The boat that is right for you will depend on your goals as a kayak enthusiast.
First, what type of water will you be using your boat on? Calm water and fast-moving water require different boats. Are you going to paddle by yourself, or will you want someone else with you? How often do you anticipate using your boat? The more often you use it, the more durable you will want the kayak to be.
You can always rent kayaks first to get the feel for the different types that are available. Once you have chosen the right boat, carefully time your purchase. Buying in the off-season will help you get an affordable price. You can also shop online or buy your boat through the classifieds. Before shopping, however, make sure you know what you want. Visit a few showrooms to get an idea of what is available.
Tip 2 - Getting the Right Gear
Other than the boat itself, what do you need to start kayaking? One of the most important pieces of safety equipment that every person in a kayak needs is a PFD, or Personal Flotation Device. These are high-tech life vests that will keep you above water if the boat should capsize. Kayaking requires a Type II or Type V PFD. These are lightweight, fairly easy to put on, and quite fashionable, not like the life vests you are probably picturing.
Typically, the more you pay for a PFD the more comfortable it will be. The more expensive models have softer foam and can be adjusted easier than the cheaper options. If you need to save money, consider buying new.
The other piece of equipment you will need is a kayak paddle. If you can, try out a variety of paddle types. If you do not have this luxury, you will probably be happy with an aluminum shaft adjustable paddle with a flat blade that has blunt or tapered ends as you are beginning your kayaking adventure. After you have learned more about the sport you may want to upgrade your paddle, but this paddle will give you the flexibility you need to paddle in a variety of situations.
Tip 3 - Getting in and out of the Kayak
Now that you have a kayak and your basic gear, you are ready to begin. You take your boat to the river, don your PFD, and suddenly realize you have no idea how to get into the kayak. Here is what you need to know.
If you are in shallow water, dip your paddle into the water and brace it against the side of the kayak to keep it steady. You can also use the dock edge to steady the boat if you are in deep water. Once the boat is steady, sit on the edge of the dock with your legs hanging over the side. Line your feet up evenly with your entry point, and drop the line into the cockpit. Swing one foot and then the other into the cockpit, crouch down, and sit. Grab your paddle, adjust your line so it is out of the way, and you are ready to go. Getting out of the kayak is basically the same, only backwards. Be sure to keep a good hand on your paddle so that you do not lose it.
Tip 4 - Paddle Correctly
Paddling does involve exercise, but it should not be exhausting. Avoid using a motion that is similar to digging into the sand. Instead, lean back in your seat and relax. This not only helps you paddle more efficiently, but it also keeps the boat stable. Hold the paddle in both hands using an over-handed hold. Your thumbs should be underneath the bar. Let your torso make most of the movements. Pull with the arm that is making the downward stroke and push the shaft away with the arm that is making the upward stroke. This sounds complicated, but you will get the rhythm as you practice.
Tip 5 - Be Prepared
There are some things that you need to have ready in order to be safe on the water. Make sure that you have an audible safety signal device clipped to your PFD. Also, be sure that you have a spare paddle, especially if your kayaking trip will be long. Paddles can get lost in deep water, so having a spare is always a good idea. This can be a collapsible paddle if you need to save room.
Before you leave, check the weather and water conditions, not just in your current location, but also at your destination. If a storm is approaching, postpone your trip. This is essential if you are a beginner, because a sudden storm could mean disaster.
A repair kit and first aid kit are also important. Be sure that your repair kit includes some duct tape. Your first aid kit must be contained in an airtight, waterproof container. Finally, pack a flashlight, even if you do not intend to be on the water at night. If you get stranded after dark, a flashlight will keep you safe and help you find your way to shore.
With these tips, you should be as prepared as possible to start kayaking. Remember to go with experienced kayak enthusiasts the first few times you go out, as they can help you with the problems you will face as you learn this exciting sport.

Skirted Winter Covers For Above Ground Pools – Maximum Winter Protection For Your Pool
Above ground winter pool covers are designed and manufactured specifically to withstand harsh weather and cold temperatures and to prevent your pool from becoming damaged during the winter months. These off-season above ground swimming pool covers are made from strong and extremely durable material such as woven polyethylene, with each and every individual strand providing maximized strength. High quality winter pool covers also feature a triple laminated inner scrim topped by a weather resistant coating. This coating is specially designed to provide resistance against harsh weather and UV damage from sunlight so that the cover will provide protection for your pool year after year.
The great thing about skirted above ground pool covers is that they will fit your pool like a glove for ultimate protection. Skirted covers are first cut to match the exact size and shape of your swimming pool. Then a skirt is sewn on to the main part of the cover to provide an even better fit. Skirted above ground winter pool covers come with a cable and small loops that attach to the pool uprights. The cable can then be run through the loops and the cover, allowing the cover to be safely and tightly secured. Just as pool covers with large overlaps are beneficial when it comes to extra protection, skirted above ground pool covers provide that extra material which makes it easier for the cover to withstand windy and other harsh weather.
When your winter pool cover fits properly, spring or summer openings will obviously go more smoothly. Tightly fitting covers prevent dirt, leaves and other debris from accumulating in and dirtying the water. This means that you will need to do less vacuuming and water straining once the winter is over. Best of all, a cleaner pool as a result of a good winter cover will mean that you can get back to swimming faster when the warmer weather arrives.
Like other high quality above ground pool covers designed to provide winter protection, the best skirted covers feature a black underside. This is an important characteristic to look for because a black underside will prevent light from passing through the cover, thereby inhibiting the growth of algae. The tight weave of the polyethylene fabric also helps to prevent algae growth and will greatly reduce the possibility of dirt and debris getting past the cover and entering the pool water. Not surprisingly, when algae growth is inhibited, it's far easier and faster to open your pool again in the spring, as far less cleaning and effort will be required.
As already mentioned, skirted above ground swimming pool covers can be cut to fit the exact dimensions of your particular pool. So no matter what the size or shape of your pool may be, you can have a winter pool cover that will fit precisely, thereby providing you with the highest level of winter protection for your swimming pool. Perhaps best of all, above ground pool covers from respected and trusted manufacturers are designed to provide quality protection for many years, sometimes for as much as 15 or even 20 years. For the very best protection possible, it's important to follow the installation tips that will come with your cover. Typically uncomplicated and easy to understand, the installation instructions will provide you with simple tips which can greatly increase the effectiveness of your winter cover.
While skirted swimming pool covers can provide your pool with excellent protection and weather resistance, they can still be found for good value. With direct online retailers such as Intheswim.com providing great selections of swimming pool supplies including skirted pool covers, it's possible to find everything you need for winterizing your pool at affordable prices. So if you want maximized winter protection for your above ground swimming pool so you can extend the life of your pool and get back to swimming faster, consider using a skirted above ground pool cover this coming winter.

Portable Hot Tubs and Spas: Easy way to relax
While just about all portable spas and hot tubs are great for relaxation, it's important that you purchase a model with the specific features and characteristics that will enhance and maximize your enjoyment of your hot tub. For example, if you want to use your portable hot tub as a remedy for arthritic pain, back pain or stiff muscles and joints, the placement of the hydrotherapy jets is an important consideration. You need to make sure that the hydrotherapy jets of your particular model are appropriately placed such that they will target and massage the particular part or parts of your body that you wish to soothe and relief of pain. Adjustable jets are also a good feature to look for, as they will allow for a more customized experience.
Other important considerations to keep in mind when looking at a selection of portable spas are size and seating arrangement. You need to think about how many people will be using your spa and for what purpose. If you have a large family or plan to use your hot tub as a focal point of parties, you will probably want to choose from a selection of portable hot tub that will seat several adults. In other circumstances, a more moderately sized spa may well be suitable for your home and lifestyle.
Luckily, portable spas are available in many different sizes and with many different seating configurations. From models designed to seat three adults to those with a capacity of up to six adults, there are many options to choose from. Naturally, in addition to size, it's also important to take note of the level of comfort provided by the spa's seats. If the seats are not comfortable, your relaxation and enjoyment could be significantly diminished. On the other hand, many portable hot tubs feature contoured seating which is specifically designed to offer maximized comfort which, in turn, maximizes the level of enjoyment you get out of every single one of your hot tub experiences.
In addition to hydrotherapy jets and seating, there are many other features and accessories which can further enhance your entire hot tub environment. For example, top-of-the-line digital controls and in-spa lighting are common amenities that can be found in many portable spas and hot tubs, especially those offered by highly respected manufacturers. Some portable hot tubs also feature waterfalls, which can add points of interest as well as soothing sounds. It's also possible to add additional amenities and features to your spa environment with spa and hot tub accessories. These can include everything from towel racks and drink holders to pillows and cushions, all of which can make portable spas even more relaxing and enjoyable.
Once you choose the perfect spa or hot tub for your home, there are still a few things you need to keep in mind with regards to installation and safety. While most spas are quite quiet, you may not want to place yours too close to a bedroom, depending upon the preferences of you and your family. Also, it's often a good idea to place your hot tub in an area where it will be relatively protected from wind, falling leaves and strong, direct sunlight. In terms of safety, it's vital to ensure that the installation is performed by licensed professionals and that your portable spa or hot tub meets all safety standards. If children live at your home or are likely to visit, a sturdy spa cover with safety locks is a must.
Once you have decided what features and amenities you are looking for, it will be time to find the perfect model at the perfect price. Fortunately, high quality portable spas and portable hot tubs can be found for great value if you know where to look. For example, direct online retailers such as Intheswim.com offer a wide range of excellent models and brands to choose from at very affordable prices. These retailers also offer a great selection of hot tub and spa accessories. Once you have everything you need and installation is complete, you will be ready to begin enjoying hours of fun and relaxation in your very own portable home spa or hot tub.

What’s in Your Water – Five Facts You Need to Know
Water constitutes 60% of the body’s contents. Many of us are so concerned about being hydrated, that Americans are often referred to as the Hydration Nation. We carry the clear stuff with us everywhere, and everyday. Water is, after all, the essential element in carrying nutrition to our cells, and generating circulation, digestion, respiration and cardiovascular functions which are necessary to sustain life.
How Much is Too Much?
For decades people have followed the 8 plus 8 rule; 8 glasses of water, consumed in 8 ounce glasses or containers, every day. This method of hydrating has always been promoted by doctors and nutritionists; however, recent research now proves that our hydrating needs vary with our activity levels. An active lifestyle requires more hydration than a sedentary amount of movement. Illness also requires an increase in fluids, if fever is present in the body, or some kind of infection. Never drink too much water because it can be deadly. Too much water being consumed when jogging or working out, causes a reduced level of sodium in the body. Reduced sodium causes light-headedness, nausea, and swelling of the body.
The Signs of Too Little
Its important to know the signs of dehydration so that you can avoid becoming ill. The signs include: headache, thirst, fatigue, and dizziness. Many people consume other liquids to keep hydrated. Fruit juices, milk, coffee and tea are frequently substituted for water. Although these fluids do hydrate, many juices have a high level of sugar or fructose corn syrup which contains high calorie content, and the sugar has no nutritional value.
Warm Water Is Best
The best temperature to drink water is at room temperature. Warm water helps the body digest food, distribute medications, and detoxify. However, drinking cold water has no serious ill effects and if that’s the only way to enjoy it, the important point is to hydrate.
Five Facts You Need to Know
Everyone needs information about what is contained in the drinking water in their community. It’s also beneficial to know the value of nutrient enhanced water, and how to carry water with you, safely.
1) Tap water that has been put through a carbon filter to trap the lead contaminates, is just as safe to drink as any bottled water, and has more minerals than most bottled waters.
2) Nutrient enhanced water has too much sugar, usually about 32.5 grams or more, and other additives. The body cannot always absorb liquid nutrients. Read the label to check for the sugar content.
3) Water that sits in plastic bottles collects bacteria and can leach toxic chemicals from the plastic into the water. It is not possible to detect bacteria or chemicals from the taste of the water.
4) For your good health, carry water in safe containers which are made from aluminum, or glass. Plastic bottles never break down in landfills and are having a seriously negative effect on the environment.
Put A Fountain In Your Garden
Usually, people install fountains for the benefit of the natural ambience it provides. For some reason, being around a gorgeous scene of water gives you a positive energy. This is also good if you practice Tai Chi or some form of yoga or meditation. The constant drone of the water is exactly what most people need to concentrate on what they are doing. Even if you're not into that kind of stuff, just being in a garden with a fountain has a sort of meditative quality to it, even if you're not trying to do so. I recommend it to anyone.
When you first decide to put in a fountain, you need to put great care into picking out one that will go well with the rest of your garden. If you have any other decorations, you want to consider if it goes well with your motif. Does the fountain you're considering stand out in your garden like a sore thumb, or does it look like it was meant to be there? If you're like me, you can't naturally tell whether the fountain will be a good addition to your garden just by looking at it. So my solution was to bring my sister (a natural at fashion design and that kind of stuff) along with a picture of my garden to the store. I was able to get her expert opinion, as well as see for myself what it would look like. By doing this I was able to pick a beautiful rock fountain that goes marvelously with the rest of my garden.
However, I still had a slight problem with supplying my fountain with power. You see, my garden isn't very close to my house. I thought it would look pretty tacky to run an extension cord across my yard, so I had to come up with another solution. I discussed my situation with a Home Depot employee, and he quickly found me the exact solution I needed: an extension cord meant for being buried! All it took was a few hours of digging a small trench across my yard, and I had power to my fountain without an unsightly cord running across my yard. After I got over this little hitch, my fountain plan went beautifully.
So if you're looking for a way to make your garden a more classy and beautiful place to be, I hope you consider installing a fountain. The whole process is surprisingly inexpensive, and I think that you will be very happy with the results. Having a fountain in your garden is not only soothing, but it also adds a lot of character to an otherwise bland garden. Remember, gardens are not just for giving us vegetables! A garden is a place to go when you want to retreat from the outside world and dwell in your own thoughts with no disturbance.

Inspecting your Swimming Pool
Inspecting your Swimming Pool
With the varied availability of swimming pool equipment and designs, you have a lot to think about when it comes to safety. Whether you use different types of swimming pool liners, or think about purchasing a new swimming pool toy, there are a lot of pool inspection tips you should consider. It may also help to ask questions at your local swimming pool supply shop, because talking to experts face to face about your swimming pool safety needs can help you in the long run.
Your swimming pool design and capacity
A lot of things depend on your pool's design and capacity. Some of these things include the amount of water treatment chemicals you'll need, the type of liner you should have, as well as the aesthetics of your swimming pool. It's important to calculate the average depth of your pool using this equation: Deep End (feet) + Shallow End (feet) ? 2 = Average Depth. It will help you determine your swimming pool capacity. The swimming pool design you choose will also aid you in buying the proper swimming pool covers that you will need during different seasons. Leaf-catcher covers are effective during summer, fall and spring, while a different swimming pool cover is available for winter. These allow you to keep your pools in top shape despite the seasonal and climatic changes. Almost any swimming pool supply shop has a good stock of covers for your swimming pool. Keep in mind that a well-covered swimming pool is a safe pool.
Getting the ideal swimming pool liner
The quality of your swimming pool liner is essential to your pool's water quality. This is because it prevents the water from being contaminated. It also maintains your water's pH, and helps keep algae and mildew from growing. Also consider the type of material used for your liner. Swimming pool liners are usually made with vinyl or plastic, and can be quite decorative.
Inground Swimming Pool Safety
The elegance of inground swimming pools attracts a lot of buyers. However, it is important to keep in mind that inground pools have their own safety risks. It is important to always have someone watch the pool such as a "lifeguard" or simply an adult who can swim. This is because children (and unmindful adults) have a higher tendency to fall into an inground swimming pool as opposed to an above ground swimming pool. It will help to keep your inground swimming pool covered when not in use, or fenced off in certain areas.
Safe swimming pool toys for added fun
While purchasing fun and colorful swimming pool toys can be exciting, there are some accessories that can be considered as a "must-have". Goggles are important, especially for children. There are also special swimming pool toys and floats available for toddlers. Swim aids such as swimming pool floats, swim belts, and water wings, are also considered as safe swimming pool toys. Your local swimming pool supply shops probably have a good toys department - take a look around in order to get the best prices.

Understanding About Water Meter Flow Rate
For instance, many people do not know that you can measure irrigation with a water meter flow rate system, and this is in fact one of the most important jobs that a water meter flow rate system will ever do, and so it is thus obviously crucial that this matter be more learned about.
Basically, flow meters in general are particularly excellent devices for the measuring of flow in irrigation pipes, and the main parts consist of that of a propeller, one which is mounted in a short section of pipe and geared to a revolution counter, and which also is able to record the rate of flow and the cumulative total overall.
Overall, the basic principle of operation in regards to this device is quite simple, and what really happens is that the speed of the flow is measured by that of the water turning the propeller as it passes by, and then the particular area is then determined in regards to the size of the involved pipe.
Furthermore, since the flow meters work on a particular principle which involves that of a given rate of flow through a fixed area of pipe, then the pipe thus must be flowing full in order for you to gain accurate results.
Using the Internet as an Informational Resource
If you are looking to find out more information on a matter such as this, and are wondering what resources are available for you to use, you should know that there are many, however the best one without a doubt is that of the Internet; the speed and efficiency of the Internet allow you to quickly and easily find exactly what you are looking for, without hassle.

Convert Your Car To Run On Water - Save Money, Save Gas!
Fox News recently broadcasted an interesting and very important video report.
A savvy automobile owner has come up with a very simple yet incredibly efficient way of boosting his old car’s gas mileage by up to 100% - that means several thousands of dollars economy every year.
The creator claims that his developed invention converts water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). Also called Brown's gas or Hydroxy burns better than regular gas at our fuel pumps and provides more energy. This process is often referred to as Hydrogen Fuel Cell conversion.
Gas prices are on constant rise and the fuel economy question is starting to get very serious. More hybrid cars are sold all over the world, concepts of electric cars and Hydrogen fuel cell cars are developed in almost any country and finally there is a way for you to add a little something to fuel efficient revolution.
Car owners seem to forget or maybe ignore the fact that they could get better gas mileage simply by changing the way they drive. You do not need to buy an ugly and slow prototype in order to save on gas. You could increase gas mileage of your V8 truck as well! To get better gas mileage you should follow these simple rules;
• Accelerate gently. This will use less gas.
• Keep your distance - every time you stop you will have to accelerate.
• Take your car to a mechanic; simple air filter change or spark plugs replacement could greatly increase gas mileage
• Drive slower. Going over 120kph will use up much more gas.
• Change gears as soon as possible - low gear uses up to 30% more fuel than needed.
Our cars’ engines are designed in such poor way that they only burn about 20% of the fuel – the other 80% is wasted in heat and unburned gas (pollution). When converted to money at 3$ a gallon – per every gallon your car actually uses only 60 cents, and 2.40$ is completely wasted. When you convert your car to run on water, you create a gas which helps burning the fuel in a better proportion.
Instructions on how to convert car to run on water are also available for sale on the Internet. There have been many skeptical people that do not believe in the efficiency of the system – but there doubts always vanish after finding out that the instructions come with 2 month full satisfaction money back guarantee.
Is it not only the “saving money” part that attracts people - when you convert your car to run on water you also increase your car’s engine longevity and you greatly decrease the pollution. The system allows you to burn gas more efficiently – which decreases the noise of the engine and the wear and tear of the motor’s parts.
The system is composed by simple parts that are basically bolted on the engine. It could be done at almost no cost, by anyone and to any car. The system is completely untraceable when taken off of the engine.
Just imagine yourself buying half the gas you are buying now! Wouldn’t it be nice to have an extra couple of thousand of dollars for Christmas presents? For a vacation? For a down payment on a new car?
I hope this article gave you enough of useful information to consider converting your car to run on water.

Boat Storage On Or Off The Water
By: Victor Epand
After the summer is over and all the summer fun has been had, its time to put your boat away for the winter. Some people choose to leave their boat docked in the water while others will find a warm comfortable place to keep their boat away from the winter elements. Either way there are some things you will need to do to protect your boat. The following paragraphs describe how to properly store your boat for the winter.
Storing Your Boat on land
Storing your boat on land is the best way to keep it from the harshest elements of winter. It also prevents blisters from developing around the hull area as a result of water soaking into any laminated area beneath the waterline. You should disconnect the battery and keep it at home for ease of maintenance and for prevention against theft. Also, another advantage of taking your boat off the water is that you will be able to thoroughly clean the outside of the boat.
Leaving Your Boat On The Water
If you decide to keep your boat in the water during the winter, you will need to keep the battery running so that the bilge pump can continue to function if required. However, the first priority is to make sure that all valves have been tightly closed to protect the thru-hulls. If you neglect to do this, not only will your boat possibly sink, but you may have to spend a lot of money on repairs. The only thru-hull which should be kept open is the cockpit drain, but you should clamp it with a hose made of stainless steel.
If you know that your boat is likely to be subject to freezing temperatures over the winter, you'll need to use some kind of de-icing system or install some kind of bubble system. It's also important that you check on your boat every few weeks or so over the winter months. If you're not going to be around, try to arrange for someone to check on it for you.
On land and in the water
Whether you're keeping your boat in the water or bringing it ashore, you need to cover it completely with a proper boat canvas cover. Make sure that the cover fits snugly and is well maintained. You can also buy special mould and mildew bags and situate them around the interior of the boat. This will prevent the boat from collecting any unpleasant odors and it will make your cleaning the boat in the spring time much easier.

Our Search For Water On Mars Has Turned Snowy
One of the main things scientists wanted to know for sure other than are there any life forms on Mars is whether or not there is any water present just below the surface of the planet anywhere. Scientists firmly believe that water once flowed on this planet, but dried up on the surface long ago. In the water that is though to be beneath the ground is where scientists were hopeful that they might still find some form of life.
So far there has been no discovery of anything living. At least if there has been anything found alive the rest of us have not been told about it. One of therecent discoveries that have been made is when the rover detected snowfall in the Martian atmosphere. This is a welcome finding since it is associated with water. The snowfall and ice particles evidently were not making it to the ground surface, but it is intriguing for scientists none the less.
They have said they will continue to watch for more of the snow falling on the North Polar cap for as long as the rover is still working. Soon the sun will be setting for Mars and will not return until sometime in April. This means that the solar powered rover will stop working for good. The rover has already lasted longer than was expected and this is a good thing else the snowfall might not have been detected had the rover already shut down as scientists though it should have.
What all of this water on Mars business really has to do with all of us is still in question. It could mean more to our future generations and then again it could all amount to nothing except gaining knowledge about a far away place that none of us would ever have the opportunity to do to and would we want to even if we could?

The Intensity Of Floods: Are You Prepared?
By: Aydan Corkern
When a flood comes it can tear down buildings, houses, and trees. It can bring up the nasty stuff in the sewer and bring it in your house. It can have gas, oil, and electric poles in it, which are dangerous for you. It can take the ground out from underneath you and make a big river of water that goes right through your town. It can tear apart your house by taking half of it or the whole thing at once; this is how bad it will get. Floods can destroy towns or even cities in a matter of minutes.
When you have bad weather and it has rained hard, it can cause a flood to grow from the rivers and creeks. It will go over the banks and flood the streets and fields and flood any house that is in its way. Floods can come from the ocean from a hurricane. It will bring high wind and a massive amount of water that can be coming from anywhere. It can knock down dams and water towers, and that will bring more water that will flood your house and take everything you have. It can take your cars and your big truck and move them right down the river of water. It can take it into the ocean or into another town or city.
The water is very strong, and nothing will stop it from happening or stop it when it has already begun. It can kill hundreds or thousands of people every time it hits. There will be injured and frightened people all over the place. It can carry a person down the river of water and suck them right under it, and their bodies can be found in other places or will never be found. Sometimes it can trap people on their roofs if it hasn't already taken it. They could be up there for days until someone comes and gets them from there. It can have electrical charges going through the water. You will want to stay out of the water and keep your kids away from it to so they don't get hurt or swiped away.
It can have toxins in it also from the waste that came from the sewers. It can get in your floors, walls, and in your yard after the water has rested. It will also cause a mud slide and that is dangerous, too.

Water Damage Emergency in Long Beach
You wonder what you are going to do? You cannot clean up this mess yourself as you haven’t the faintest clue where to begin and what to do. While speaking to your husband you both come up with the idea to check online for a reputable Long Beach company that can handle this horrific mess. You both are searching and come up with a few water restoration companies.
You each read over different companies while talking on the telephone. You cannot agree on which company to use. You both challenge each other to what each company offers. They both claim to offer the same type of service. Then you look at their recommendations. One company has a lot more recommendations with happy customers than the other. You both notice that this same company has the Better Business Bureau icon on the website, too. That company just sold the both of you and you end up calling them to take care of the water damage in your Long Beach home. The company can come to your house within twenty four hours which is imperative. You cannot leave water stagnant. Water that is clean and left over twenty four hours begins to grow all sorts of molds and bacteria. Both of which are not very pleasant nor good on your health.
The company from the Long Beach area comes to clean your home and extract the water that has invaded your living space. The company also uses high quality products to kill any bacteria or mold trying to multiply throughout the area. The products will also help prevent any future bacteria or mold from taking over your home. Your Long Beach house will look, feel, and smell as good as new before the water damaged occurred. No hidden fragrant sprays that will mask the odor underneath. The odor is eliminated entirely from your home. You are very thankful that this company took charge of the water damage. Things were handled beautifully even while your husband was out of town.

Sailing - the Five Essentials
When sailing you should always check that all five are adjusted to your sailing direction.
Boat balance - If a yacht is allowed to heel away from the wind, it will tend to turn into the wind or luff up. If the boat is allowed to heel towards the wind, it will tend to turn downwind or bear away. In either ease some rudder movement will be needed to keep it on course, which will slow the boat down. Turn the boat using the wheel to the desired course to steer. This may be a definite bearing or towards a landmark, or at a desired angle to the apparent wind direction.Trim fore and aft - The distribution of crew weight fore and aft is just as important as balancing the boat.
To learn the techniques you should always practice. Shifting your weight towards the wind will always help. In other words, that means moving forward in the boat when sailing to windward and moving aft when sailing downwind.
The aim is to adjust the position of the crew forwards or backwards to achieve an 'even keel'. On an upwind course in a small boat, the crew typically sit forward, when 'running' it is more efficient for the crew to sit to the rear of the boat.
The position of the crew matters less as the size (and weight) of the boat increasesSail setting - A sail should be pulled in until it fills with wind, but no further than the point where the front edge of the sail (the luff) is exactly in line with the wind. As a guide, you will find that any sail, whether jib, mainsail or spinnaker, will set best by letting out until it starts to flap gently along the leading edge, then pulled in just enough to stop that flapping.Centreboard - As well as driving a yacht forward, the action of the wind on the sails will push it sideways across the water - this is known as making leeway.
To prevent this, the yacht needs more grip on the water, which is provided by a centreboard daggerboard or keel. The difference is simple. A centreboard will pivot around the bolt in its case; a daggerboard is moved vertically up and down In some older yachts you might find a metal board, referred to as a centreplate, all three do the same job. If a moveable centreboard is fitted, then it should be lowered when sailing "close to the wind" but can be raised up on downwind courses to reduce drag. The centreboard prevents lateral motion and allows the boat to sail upwind.
A boat with no centreboard will instead have a permanent keel, some other form of underwater foil, or even the hull itself which serves the same purpose.Course made good - This is the shortest distance between two points. The course made good will be a straight line from start to finish. You need to decide the best way way of getting from one point to another in all other conditions.Together, these points are known as 'The Five Essentials'

Should You Buy a Waterbed?
The advantage of separating the water into several chambers is the reduction of the "wave" effect. After the natural state of the water was disturbed, these single chamber waterbeds took at least a few seconds to return to normal. This problem has largely been solved with the introduction of multiple chambers.
The other key characteristic of a waterbed is the ability to heat the entire surface. With the temperature being controlled by a thermostat, the user can set the bed to the specific degree that he or she desires. The most common temperature is 86 degrees (the average temperature of human skin). This feature is especially useful in the dead of winter. Many people save money on their heating bills by jacking up the temperature of their waterbed while lowering the thermostat responsible for controlling the heat of the entire house. Doctors also agree that sleeping on a warmer surface lowers a person's blood pressure, while also aiding in muscle relaxation.
Though to some degree comfort is a subjective matter of taste and opinion, many users find that waterbeds are significantly more comfortable than normal mattresses. To a large degree, this is due to the fact that they take pressure off of the spine, because the entire body rests on the mattress rather than simply the spinal cord. That's why some doctors recommend the purchase of a waterbed to their patients with arthritis or other bone problems.
At the same time, there are some disadvantages directly linked to what makes waterbeds so great. For one thing, heating a waterbed doesn't come cheaply: depending on climate (among other things), a waterbed can use more than 1000 kWh per year. To be sure, this should be weighed against the prospect of heating an entire home while sleeping, which may be unnecessary when sleeping in a waterbed.
Another thing to think about is assembly and disassembly. Whereas with a normal mattress you simply lug it up the stairs and place it in the desired spot, in contrast a waterbed requires a significant amount of time to fill, especially if you're far from the nearest water source. Looked at from another angle, this could be an advantage, however. Before filling, your new bed will be very easy to transport. Make sure that you consult with the person who built your house, however, because some second stories cannot support a waterbed.
Buying a mattress is an important decision. After all, you spend almost half your time in bed! Next time you're in the market, give a waterbed a shot. It may change your life!

Rain Gear – the Right Type Makes All the DifferenceRain gear will keep you warm and dry not only when bicycling, but also when hiking, power walking, boating, motorcycling, golfing, walking the family dog, star gazing, etc. Rain gear is the way you stay dry when doing anything out in the elements.Whether it’s breathable waterproof, or non-breathable waterproof rain gear it’s the comfortable fitting, stylish protection you want when working or playing in the great outdoors. When maximum warmth and dryness are the goal, non-breathable rain gear is the top choice.
It holds in all body heat, while keeping outside moisture from penetrating. On the other hand, when you find yourself in need of rain protection during times of strenuous activity such as jogging or vigorous cycling, breathable rain gear is a great choice. Breathable rain gear has moisture transfer qualities. It allows the fabric to move accumulating body moisture from the inside of the fabric to the outside. You stay dry inside and out.
When the unexpected rain shower suddenly appears, you want a quality, lightweight, smart fitting and easy-to-get-to piece of rain gear in your day pack, saddle bag, fanny pack or backpack. History Of Freshwater Cultured Pearls
Submitted by sverdlow
Pearls are produced by mollusks, mussels or oysters belonging to the Unionidae family. Saltwater pearls are produced by oysters in the ocean, while freshwater pearls come from mussels growing in lakes, rivers or ponds other than the ocean. These mollusks create a substance called nacre when an irritant object enters its shell. The nacre will wrap around the object until it is covered with this iridescent substance, and the resulting gem is known today as a pearl.Maybe you have heard of the term natural pearls and cultured pearls. Natural pearls are created without human intervention, while cultured pearls are produced by a process where man will introduce a foreign object inside the mollusks' shell, and harvests it after nacre coating. Due to over fishing, the pearls produced the natural way are very rare. Most pearls that you can find in the market today are already cultured.Have you ever wondered how freshwater cultured pearls began? Thousands of years ago, most pearls came exclusively from the ocean. However, not all oysters have produced a pearl inside. In a harvest of three tons, only about three or four oysters can produce a perfect pearl. That is why the pearls at that time were outrageously expensive.
So scientists thought of a way to culture pearls, and they found out that if they will pry open the shell of the mussel, introduce a very small object (like a bead or a metal), then return the mussel in the water, it will also coat the object with nacre and produce a pearl.
The first cultured pearls actually originated in Japan, with pearl farmers experimenting with freshwater mussels in Lake Biwa which is a lake near Kyoto. Their initial harvest appeared around 1930s. Instantly, the freshwater pearl became a big hit! The luster and color looked almost the same as the natural pearls, but the prices are lower and the supply is continuous.
Unfortunately there was a slump in the production of pearls during World War II, but in the 1950s they were back again in the market. Because of its success, almost all of the supplies for the global market came from the lake. In fact, some people already call freshwater pearls as "Biwas" referring to the lake where it originated.
This went on until 1973. But there were warning signs of slow production due to the resorts, farms and industries that were developed surrounding the lake. Soon the pearl farms in Biwa were barely surviving due to the pollution from industrial modernization. Then there came a time when no more pearls can be cultured in this lake. Added to that was Japanese disadvantage of not having a big lake or river to shift their production, and this was coupled with a smaller workforce.
Because of this, China saw the opportunity to culture freshwater pearls. Indeed, they began to flood the market with abundant pearls, having good quality and inexpensive too! The Chinese pearl farmers have also learned to develop and perfect cultured pearl with increased size and improved luster. Now they are the biggest supplier of the worldwide demand for freshwater pearls.
